Tình trạng thiếu chip bán dẫn đã gây ảnh hưởng sâu sắc tới nguồn cung sản phẩm của Honda khi mà sau Civic Type R và HR-V, đến lượt Civic cũng ngừng nhận đơn hàng.
Honda Nhật Bản mới đây đã thông báo tạm ngưng nhận đặt hàng đối với mẫu sedan Honda Civic do thiếu chip bán dẫn. Trước đó, hãng cũng phải ngừng nhận cọc Civic Type R và một số phiên bản của HR-V với lý do tương tự. Trên website chính thức, Honda cho biết: “Do thiếu chip bán dẫn, việc đảm bảo nguồn cung của Civic gặp nhiều khó khăn. Để đảm bảo có thể giao xe cho mọi khách hàng đã đặt cọc, chúng tôi hiện sẽ không nhận cọc cho mẫu xe này nữa. Dựa vào tình hình sản xuất trong tương lai, chúng tôi sẽ thông báo cho khách hàng biết về thời điểm nhận cọc trở lại”.
Dù được đánh giá là một trong những mẫu xe thành công nhất của Honda, tuy nhiên Civic không được nhiều khách hàng tại Việt Nam lựa chọn do mức giá khá cao so với các đối thủ trong phân khúc.
