Mới đây, Tổng cục Hải Quan thông tin, trong tháng 1/2023 vừa qua đã có khoảng 20 chiếc Toyota Hilux cập cảng, làm thủ tục thông quan.
Như vậy, sau gần một năm ngừng bán do không đáp ứng tiêu chuẩn khí thải Euro, giờ đây mẫu bán tải nhà Toyota đã chính thức quay lại. Tuy nhiên, 20 chiếc Toyota Hilux cập cảng này được Toyota Việt Nam nhập khẩu nguyên chiếc từ Thái Lan và được sản xuất trong năm 2022. Điều này chứng tỏ, nhiều khả năng, Toyota Hilux khi quay trở lại Việt Nam vẫn sẽ tiếp tục là mẫu xe nhập khẩu, thay vì lắp ráp trong nước.
Trở lại Việt Nam lần này, xe vẫn có đầy đủ các phiên bản động cơ diesel: 2.4L và 2.8L. Tuy nhiên, trong số này chỉ có duy nhất phiên bản động cơ 2.8L mang tên Toyota Hilux Adventure là có trang bị hệ thống dẫn động 4 bánh và trong đợt này sẽ chỉ có duy nhất một chiếc loại này (màu trắng ngọc trai).
Trước đó, từ cuối tháng 12/2022, các đại lý Toyota đã đồng loạt thông báo nhận đặt cọc Toyota Hilux mới với giá bán dao động từ 740 triệu – 1,05 tỷ đồng, trong đó có cả phiên bản số sàn 4×2 và 4×4. Với mức giá này, Hilux sẽ trở thành mẫu xe đắt nhất phân khúc. Trong khi đó, “Vua bán tải” Ford Ranger hiện có giá bán từ 659 – 965 triệu đồng.
