Trong tháng 4, Ford Việt Nam sẽ điều chỉnh giá bán lẻ đề xuất của Ranger, tăng từ 10 – 20 triệu đồng tùy phiên bản, áp dụng từ tháng 5. Nguyên nhân theo đại lý, có thể do chi phí nguyên vật liệu đầu vào tăng, ảnh hưởng đến giá thành xuất xưởng. Mức tăng nhiều nhất 19-20 triệu đồng trên bản bán chạy nhất XLS số tự động một và 2 cầu. Theo đại lý, xe sẽ được nâng cấp đèn chiếu sáng từ loại halogen lên LED tự động. Những trang bị khác lẫn động cơ vẫn giữ nguyên. Riêng bản Sport chưa rõ thời điểm có hàng.
Ngoài ra, bản XLS 4×2 MT giá 665 triệu đồng sẽ bị loại bỏ. Bản XLT 4×4 có giá 830 triệu đồng AT sẽ thay bằng bản Sport 4×4 AT. Sau khi điều chỉnh, Ford Ranger sẽ còn 5 phiên bản, giá bán lẻ đề xuất mới khởi điểm từ 669 triệu và cao nhất lên tới 979 triệu đồng. Điều này đồng nghĩa với việc Ford sẽ dần tiến tới bỏ số sàn ra khỏi phân khúc sản phẩm, hiện tại chỉ còn duy nhất 1 mẫu xe có 1 phiên bản số sàn là Ranger, trước đó hai bản số sàn.
Theo đại lý, Ford Ranger bản XL số sàn cũng không còn được nhiều khách hàng ưu chuộng, phiên bản này cũng được lắp ráp ít hơn và tiến tới sẽ không còn xuất hiện trong danh mục sản phẩm. Trong xu thế mới, nhiều mẫu xe cũng bỏ dần phiên bản số sàn đơn cử hãng Mazda, Peugeot, VinFast, MG và một số hãng xe sang như Volvo, Lexus không có xe nào có bản số sàn. Các mẫu xe số sàn chỉ còn xuất hiện ở một số mẫu xe có thiên hướng dịch vụ như Toyota Vios hay Hyundai Grand i10, Accent…
Ranger là mẫu xe bán tốt nhất của Ford tại Việt Nam cũng là mẫu bán tải bán chạy nhất thị trường. Năm 2022, Ford Ranger bán 16.447 xe, con số lớn hơn tất cả các đối thủ như Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, Mazda BT-50, Mitsubishi Triton cộng lại, riêng Nissan Navara không có số liệu. Ford cũng là hãng xe có ít mẫu xe con nhất trên thị trường với 3 chiếc và một mẫu bán tải.
